Description
Turning Points is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to support our Bike Repair Shop. In this role, you'll help inspect and repair donated bicycles, as well as bikes brought in by clients in need of service.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of bicycles to identify necessary repairs.
- Perform repairs to ensure bikes are safe and reliable.
- Salvage usable parts from bikes that cannot be repaired.
Ideal Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to diagnose and perform common bicycle repairs, including adjusting gears and brakes, and aligning wheels.
- Advanced repair skills are a plus, but not required.
- Strong customer service skills and a willingness to listen carefully to clients’ needs.
