Non-medical Hospice Volunteer

Compassionate Care Hospice volunteers offer valuable support to patients and families facing terminal illnesses. Volunteers do not require any medical background and do not engage in medical or personal hygiene tasks.

Our volunteers provide support in various ways. Whatever your passion or interest, there is a meaningful role for you as a volunteer with Compassionate Care Hospice. Our volunteers create their own schedule and typically commit 1-4 hours a week.

We are currently looking for volunteers to:

• • Visit patients in-person
  • Provide respite for caregivers
  • Make weekly tuck-in calls
  • Veteran/active duty military visits to veteran patients
  • Provide office support
  • Make handicraft items for patients
  • Assist with light household duties
  • Provide Light yardwork
  • Sing or play an instrument
  • Send birthday cards

Professional Volunteers:

• • Massage therapy
  • Music therapy
  • Pet therapy
  • Art therapy
  • Notary
  • Reiki
  • Hairdresser/barber

We provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident and at ease when volunteering with our hospice patients.
