    Commitment Details:
    Volunteers are asked to commit to a single shift on race day. Shifts vary and take place between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM. No prior experience is needed, just a positive attitude and a willingness to help create a meaningful, memorable day for our girls.

    2026 Girls on the Run 5K

    The Girls on the Run Union County 5K is happening Saturday, April 25th at Lake Park (3801 Lake Park Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079). This joyful, high-energy event is the culminating celebration of a season spent building confidence, connection, and strength.

    There is something truly unforgettable about watching a girl cross the finish line and realize, often for the first time, just how capable she is. In that moment, she sees the power of setting a goal, staying committed, and achieving something she once thought was out of reach. It is more than a race. It is a milestone she will carry with her long after the day ends.

    We need lots of enthusiastic volunteers to help make this day safe, encouraging, and full of celebration for every participant. From cheering along the course to helping behind the scenes, your support makes this life-changing experience possible.

    Volunteers will be emailed an information packet prior to race day with parking information and directions. On site-please check in at the pink volunteer tent when you arrive.
