Hospice Volunteer

Welcome to Everlight Hospice. We are grateful for your decision to join us in providing comfort, dignity, and support to patients and their families during one of life’s most sacred journeys.

Volunteers are essential members of our care team. You will see patients and families in their homes, long term care facilities, or the hospital. The role of the volunteer includes:

• Visit patients in homes, facilities, or hospitals.
• Provide companionship, conversation, or a quiet presence.
• Read, play music, or share hobbies.
• Offer caregiver respite.
• Assist with errands or light household tasks.
• Support administrative needs.
• Participate in bereavement follow-up.

What volunteers do not do: Provide medical care, dispense medications, lift or transfer patients, or perform personal care tasks (unless specifically trained and authorized).

Once you have applied we will reach out to you directly to complete onboarding, volunteer training, and orientation.
