Volunteer with Pupcycled: Help Us Bring Joy to Shelter Dogs

Pupcycled turns donated clothing into enrichment toys for shelter puppies across the U.S. Instead of old fabric ending up in landfills (92 million tons every year), it becomes something that keeps a shelter pup calmer, happier, and more adoptable. We operate through volunteer-led chapters, an at-home toy making program, animal shelter partnerships, and community events.

In just last year, we donated 3,000+ toys, organized 23 events, partnered with 60+ animal shelters & nonprofits, and grew to 889 volunteers. Built partnerships with Apple Inc., Salesforce, Palo Alto City Library, and Project CANIS.

Pupcycled is opening applications for our 2026 cohort. We're recruiting for two tracks:

1. Chapter Lead: Start and run a Pupcycled chapter in your neighborhood, high school, or college.
2. Volunteers in multiple roles:
   1. On-site (make toys at home or at your nearest chapter)
   2. Remote (Social Media, Blogging, Community Operations)

Pupcycled is a registered 501(c)(3) that provides volunteer hours upon request and an official certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award. We sit at the intersection of creativity, sustainability, social impact & lots of cute pups! We're looking for people who genuinely care about this work & show up consistently. We review applications on a rolling basis and only accept a limited number per cohort, so apply sooner rather than later if this feels like the right fit.
