Join the Institute for Regional Conservation and the Village of Palmetto Bay to restore the pine rockland being established at The Woods! On Thursday, April 30th come volunteer with us where participants will install native pine rockland plants. IRC will provide the plants, shovels and materials needed for the event.
There is no experience required! So grab a friend and come out to help repair the essential biodiversity of the The Woods. Whether this is your first volunteer event with us or you're a repeat volunteer, we are so excited to have you join the IRC family and see how much fun habitat restoration can be!
Please be sure to RSVP if you want to sign up to participate in this event.
We recommend that you wear closed toed shoes, and comfortable outdoor clothing, as you will be in full sun. We also recommend wearing a hat and sunscreen! Please bring a reusable water bottle and anything else that may make you comfortable in the outdoors! We will provide the rest.
We will send a reminder email before the event so please be sure you sign-up to receive the details.
We will be located on the SE corner of The Woods, in the cleared area. Look for the table and plants.
We will send an updated email with directions and instructions prior to the event.
Please email Liz and ldutra@regionalconservation.org if you have any additional questions.
