Volunteers provide companionship and emotional support to terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers talk with patients, hold their hand, play a game, read a book, play music, or just provide a friendly presence. They can also give the family a needed break to run errands or take a walk. Patients are located in both nursing facilities and private homes.
As little as two hours a month can make a big difference. Assignments, hours, and locations are flexible and can work around your schedule.
