    Description

We are seeking a volunteer attorney (or qualified legal professional) to review a short board governance document for clarity and enforceability under Mississippi law. The document covers:

    • Board confidentiality expectations
    • Protection of family and medical privacy
    • Media and spokesperson rules
    • Social media conduct standards
    • Internal dispute resolution pathway

This is a limited-scope, pro bono review intended to help our board adopt clear policies that protect the families we serve and support healthy governance.

    What we need help with

    • Review our draft policy for legal risk, clarity, and reasonableness
    • Suggest edits to improve enforceability and alignment with Mississippi nonprofit governance best practices
    • Flag any sections that should be moved into bylaws vs. a board policy manual
    • Provide a clean “final” version we can present for board signature
