About PromiseStack | Product, Technology & Innovation

PromiseStack is MAP’s product and technology division responsible for building and maintaining digital platforms, tools, and systems that support programs, data, and user experience. The division ensures that all technology initiatives are mission-aligned, scalable, and operationally sound.

    Role Overview

We are seeking a Scrum Analyst to support agile processes, sprint execution, and delivery tracking across MAP’s product and technology teams.

This role ensures that teams operate with clarity, accountability, and consistency—helping translate product strategy into structured, trackable execution.

    Key Responsibilities

    Agile Process Support

    • Support implementation of agile frameworks (Scrum or hybrid models)
    • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
    • Ensure team adherence to agile principles and workflows

    Sprint Execution & Tracking

    • Track sprint progress, deliverables, and timelines
    • Identify blockers and support resolution with relevant teams
    • Ensure visibility into work status across product and engineering teams

    Backlog & Workflow Management

    • Support product managers in maintaining and prioritizing backlogs
    • Ensure user stories and tasks are clearly defined and actionable
    • Maintain organized sprint boards and workflow systems

    Performance & Continuous Improvement

    • Track key agile metrics (velocity, sprint completion, cycle time)
    • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
    • Support continuous improvement of team workflows

    Cross-Team Coordination

    • Facilitate communication between product, engineering, and design teams
    • Ensure alignment across multiple workstreams and priorities
    • Support coordination of releases and deliverables

    Systems & Communication

    • Maintain accurate documentation of sprint activities and outcomes
    • Support use of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana)
    • Maintain timely, professional responsiveness via Google Workspace

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid)
    • Strong organizational and tracking skills
    • Ability to manage multiple workflows and priorities
    • Strong communication and coordination abilities
    • Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values

    Preferred

    • Experience in a Scrum Master, Agile Analyst, or project coordination role
    • Familiarity with product development or software engineering environments
    • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Trello)
    • Understanding of product lifecycle and delivery processes

    Commitment

    • Volunteer role
    • Approximately 5–10 hours per week
    • Minimum 6-month commitment preferred
    • Fully remote

    What You’ll Gain

    • Experience in agile product and technology environments
    • Exposure to real-world product development and delivery systems
    • Collaboration with product, engineering, and design teams
    • Professional references and letters of recommendation
    • A meaningful role supporting technology that drives social impact

    How to Apply

Interested candidates must apply directly through Idealist and submit:

    • Resume (required)
    • Cover letter (required) describing relevant experience in agile, product, or project coordination and interest in MAP’s mission
