Attend this one-time Volunteer Training session to learn about the experiences of families and children facing critical illness; the programs and services offered by There With Care; and the different ways that individuals, families, community groups, businesses and schools can participate and provide support. This training is required of adults (not minors) who want to volunteer to care for families directly/in-person and deliver care packages to families. Youth 12 years and older can attend when accompanied by an adult.
FAMILY DELIVERIES:
Each week, we provide care and support to approximately 160 families in various locations in San Francisco, along the Peninsula and into the South Bay.
Volunteers (18+) who provide in-person support and deliver care packages to families must complete a volunteer application, submit a background check, and attend a volunteer training.
Minors may accompany an adult volunteer on deliveries but are not required to complete these steps.
