    Description

    Solace House Grief Support Volunteer

    We are looking for kind, caring, and compassionate people like you to support Kansas City Hospice’s programs for grief and healing. There are opportunities coming up this fall which include:

    • Co-facilitating evening grief support groups

    • Greeting evening support group participants

    Volunteer applicants must:

    • be at least 18 years old
    • be at least 2 years past any significant personal losses
    • attend a one-day grief support volunteer training (on August 16th, 9:30-1pm)
    • complete all required paperwork (including regulatory and background checks)
    • provide copies of driver's license and current auto insurance card
    • receive a tuberculosis (TB) test, which we can provide at our expense
