    Mission Statement

The mission of Mental Health and Recovery Counseling Education and Training (MHRCET) is to empower underserved youth by providing supportive services, fostering community engagement, and creating equitable opportunities. We aim to break down systemic barriers that limit access to education, mental health resources, and pathways to success, ensuring every young person has the tools, support, and opportunities needed to reach their full potential.

    About Us

We are not just service providers but partners in healing, growth, and transformation. We envision a future where every young person is seen, supported, and equipped to overcome challenges and drive meaningful change while growing into leaders who make a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.

    About the Role

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to support day‑to‑day operational functions that keep our programs running smoothly. Operational Support Volunteers play an essential role, helping ensure that staff, clients, and community members have what they need to succeed. As a remote nonprofit, we rely on organized, tech‑savvy, and dependable volunteers who enjoy work that keeps programs, services, and internal systems running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a digital environment, enjoys organization, problem solving, and contributing to meaningful community impact from anywhere.

    Key Responsibilities

Operational Support Volunteers may assist with the following tasks:

    • Organizing digital files, documents, and shared drives to maintain efficient virtual workflows.
    • Supporting administrative tasks such as data entry, updating databases, creating forms, and preparing digital materials.
    • Assisting with virtual event logistics (Zoom setup, breakout rooms, participant support, agendas/slides, follow‑up communication).
    • Assist with digital outreach efforts, such as sending follow‑up emails, scheduling virtual meetings, or coordinating communication with clients and partner organizations.
    • Support client management tasks, including tracking participation, updating client records, and helping manage virtual intake or follow‑up forms.
    • Helping manage digital tools, platforms, and tech systems (e.g., onboarding users, updating accounts, basic troubleshooting).
    • Maintain and update contact lists, outreach logs, or CRM/digital tracking tools to keep information current and organized.
    • Monitoring email inboxes or communication channels and routing messages to appropriate staff.
    • Tracking virtual inventory (software licenses, accounts, digital assets).
    • Supporting special projects based on skills, interests, and organizational needs.

    Desired Skills & Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
    • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to follow‑through.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    • Comfortable/knowledgeable using basic computer applications.
    • Positive attitude and interest in supporting the mission of the organization.

    What Volunteers Gain

    • Hands‑on experience in nonprofit operations and program logistics.
    • Opportunities to develop professional skills in administration, coordination, and teamwork.
    • A chance to contribute to meaningful, mission‑driven work that supports youth, families, and the community.
    • Letters of recommendation or verification of volunteer hours, upon request.

MHRCET is committed to delivering essential services and support that enhance the well-being and future opportunities of youth.
