Pet Therapy Volunteers Wanted – Share the Healing Power of Your Companion
Details
Description
A wagging tail can brighten someone's entire day.
Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking certified Pet Therapy teams to provide comfort, companionship, and joy to patients receiving hospice care throughout Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden Counties.
Pet Therapy Volunteers visit patients in homes and care facilities, offering moments of connection, conversation, and unconditional comfort.
To volunteer, handlers and their therapy dogs must be certified through a recognized pet therapy organization.
We provide orientation, ongoing support, and flexible scheduling based on your availability.
All volunteers complete an orientation and training program, health screening, background check, and required onboarding before being matched with an assignment.
Whether you visit once a week or a few times each month, you and your therapy companion can make a meaningful difference.
Bring comfort one visit—and one wag—at a time.
