Description
Massage Therapy Hospice Volunteer
Purpose: To provide calm and comfort to hospice patients through touch and massage therapies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide gentle, supportive massage at patient request
- Be willing to adapt techniques to suit patients who may be elderly, frail, or in pain
- Respect patient's home environment and personal preferences
Requirements:
- State of Ohio Massage Therapy License (current)
- Hospice orientation & training
- Health and safety screenings (including TB test and Flu shot)
Time Commitment:
- Minimum of one visit per month for at least 6 months
