    Description

    Hearth Cooking

We are looking for a hearth cook who would love to share their talent and skills with school-age children and adult visitors to Patrick Henry’s Red Hill.

Red Hill is Patrick Henry’s last home and burial place, located in the heart of Southside Virginia.

Responsibilities include demonstrating hearth cooking skills during our Living History field trips and allowing children hands-on experience with a historical trade. You would also be asked to demonstrate hearth cooking during our special events, which would include adults and children. Our living history field trips occur in the mornings during the work week.

Experienced Hearth cooks are preferred, but no experience is needed. Our current hearth cook can provide training. If you love cooking, history, and working with the public, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

    Location

    On-site
1250 Red Hill Road, Brookneal, Virginia, US
