Help local families, preserve the environment, and keep usable materials out of landfills by helping us sort apparel donations!
This volunteer opportunity is available every Wednesday at our Oakland ReStore Warehouse. No prior experience is necessary!
As an Apparel Volunteer, you will evaluate and sort apparel by its quality in our warehouse. You will need to be able to distinguish sellable apparel from not sellable apparel. Non-sellable apparel will be anything that is dirty, torn, stained, smelly, etc.
We have 2 shifts available, and would love to have 2 volunteers per shift:
AM Shift: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (2 volunteer spots)
PM Shift: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm (2 volunteer spots)
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, appliances, and now apparel, to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds are used to build homes, community, and hope locally and around the world.
