Tired Dog Rescue is in need of a volunteer Adoption Coordinator.

    Duties would include:

Responding to emails, texts, messages and calls in a timely manner.

Answer questions about adoptable dogs, the adoption process, and rescue policies.

Match adopters with dogs based on personality, activity level, lifestyle, and special needs—not just appearance.

Communicate with foster homes to gather updates on each dog's personality, medical needs, and behavior.

Schedule meet-and-greets between adopters and foster dogs.

Coordinate adoption appointments and private meetings.

Discuss medical history, medications, training needs, and long-term expectations with adopters.

Collect adoption fees and ensure all required paperwork is completed.

    Prepare adoption contracts.

Ensure microchip information is transferred, and adoption records are updated.

Follow up with adopters after placement to answer questions and provide support.

Work closely with foster coordinators and medical coordinators to determine when dogs are ready for adoption.

Update adoption status in the rescue database and notify the social media team when dogs are adopted.

Maintain professional, compassionate communication with applicants—even when an application is declined.

Help educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the rescue's adoption policies.
