With volunteers working across five continents, IHF promotes ethical leadership, cross-cultural collaboration, and sustainable development.

We are currently seeking principled, analytical, and objective volunteers to join our Policy & Ethics Team.

🔹 Role Overview The Policy & Ethics Team is responsible for the "Rule of Law" within IHF. Your mission is to draft, review, and enforce the internal policies that protect our children and guide our volunteers. You ensure that IHF remains compliant with international human rights standards and that our "Culture of Leadership" is practiced fairly by everyone.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Policy Development: Draft and update internal manuals regarding child protection, data privacy, and volunteer conduct.
    • Ethical Auditing: Review organizational practices to ensure they align with IHF’s core values and international NGO standards.
    • Conflict Resolution: Act as a neutral third party to investigate internal grievances or policy violations, providing fair and documented recommendations.
    • Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal or ethical risks in our centers in Kenya, Thailand, and Indonesia and propose preventative measures.
    • Lead Responsibility – Training & Mentorship: Develop and lead training sessions for new members on "Ethics in the Field," Child Protection protocols, and IHF’s Code of Conduct.

    🔹 Ideal Candidate:

    • Background in Law, Philosophy, Human Rights, or NGO Management.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
    • Exceptional moral character and the ability to remain objective under pressure.
    • Precise writing skills (ability to draft formal, unambiguous policy documents).
    • Interested in International Law, Compliance, or Advocacy.

🔹 Benefits of Volunteering with IHF:

    • Legal & Policy Experience: Gain practical skills in international NGO compliance and ethical oversight.
    • Strategic Leadership: Master the art of coaching global teams on complex ethical standards.
    • High-Level Impact: Directly safeguard the rights and well-being of marginalized children.
