Animal Welfare Community Outreach Volunteer (Remote)

Help improve the lives of animals in Contra Costa County while gaining valuable experience in community outreach, communications, advocacy, social media, and volunteer leadership.

Animal Coalition is a volunteer-driven effort working to increase awareness of animal welfare challenges facing local rescues, shelters, and community animals. Many residents are unaware of the growing pressures on rescue organizations and the need for greater community involvement.

We are seeking remote volunteers of all ages and experience levels who want to make a meaningful difference. Whether you are a student looking for volunteer experience, a professional wanting to give back, or simply someone who cares about animals, there is a role for you.

Volunteer activities may include:

• Community outreach and awareness campaigns
• Social media content creation and sharing
• Helping expand our online presence
• Research and information gathering
• Creating educational materials
• Community engagement projects
• Contacting local stakeholders and community leaders
• Assisting with volunteer recruitment
• Supporting awareness efforts through TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
• Participating in virtual team meetings and brainstorming sessions
