    Description

RaisingHealth Partners (formerly known as Academy of Medical & Public Health Services (AMPHS)) is a Brooklyn-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating barriers to accessing healthcare for immigrants and other under-served communities in NYC. Every year, we proudly serve and connect more than 20,000 New Yorkers to healthcare systems. Our programs equip immigrant populations with the knowledge to help them navigate the complexities of living in a new city and transition into post-secondary education and/or employment opportunities. At the same time, we also educate community members on their immigrant rights, healthy living, nutrition and health access, and create space for civic engagement.

The Board Fundraising Committee Volunteer plays an important role in supporting RaisingHealth’s fundraising strategy and helping advance our mission to improve health and wellbeing in underserved immigrant communities. Working alongside Board Fundraising Committee members and organizational staff, this volunteer helps plan and execute fundraising initiatives, engage donors and supporters, strengthen community relationships, and support the organization's long-term financial sustainability. This is an opportunity for individuals with strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills to contribute their expertise while making a meaningful impact on the communities RaisingHealth serves.

    • Supporting the creation of annual fundraising plans and goals in coordination with the Board of Directors
    • Supporting the coordination of 2-4 fundraising initiatives annually, such as digital campaigns and events; may involve logistics, event research, marketing, donor outreach, and day-of support
    • Engaging in strategic direction and execution of fundraising activities that align with the organization's strategic goals and fundraising needs throughout the year
    • Supporting with the recruitment of individual donors to diversify the organization’s funding streams and build a larger donor base
    • Coordinating with organizational staff to cultivate donors through volunteer activities
    • Engaging the Board in fundraising activities
    • Reviewing fundraising performance data and helping develop reports for the Board and senior leadership

    Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s degree
