    Volunteer at Best Friends in Los Angeles!

    Best Friends Animal Society in Los Angeles welcomes interested volunteers to sign up to volunteer on-site with us. Some opportunities that volunteers can participate in are:

    • Cat Cleaning and Socialization
    • Neonate Nursery (seasonal shifts and trainings are available)

    How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

    Once a volunteer account is created, please allow the volunteer portal up to 24 hours to load all content and checklists before moving forward with scheduling shifts or trainings. When your portal is fully updated, you can click on your 'Checklist' tab to access the 'On-Site Volunteer' guide and Virtual Tour. Your volunteer account will update within a few hours to include your General Assistance calendar and next set of checklists (dog, cat and nursery). You are welcome to complete as many checklists and/or trainings as you would like or jump right in with one of our several shifts that are offered on the General Assistance calendar.

    Please note that for animal interaction opportunities; Cat training can be completed virtually through the volunteer portal. Dog walking and Nursery trainings have checklist steps and/or in-person training components.
