    About the IQA

The International Quadball Association (IQA) is the global governing body for quadball, a dynamic and inclusive sport. With a presence in almost 40 countries, the IQA is dedicated to promoting the growth, competitiveness, and spirit of quadball on an international scale. Our mission is to develop and support the sport worldwide while fostering a community that values teamwork, inclusivity, and innovation.

    Volunteer Job Overview

Are you passionate about organizing events, bringing people together, and creating memorable sporting experiences? Do you want to play a key role in shaping international competitions and development opportunities for a growing global sport?

The IQA is seeking a Director of Events to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of IQA-sanctioned tournaments, championships, and special events. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is essential in ensuring that IQA events are well-run, accessible, and aligned with the organization’s mission and values.

This is a volunteer leadership position with a commitment of approximately 5–8 hours per week, depending on workload and event calendar.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Develop and oversee the IQA’s global events strategy, including tournaments, championships, and development events.
    • Plan, coordinate, and support the delivery of major international IQA competitions, including events such as the IQA World Cup, IQA European Championship, and IQA Pan-American Championship.
    • Plan, coordinate, and support the delivery of IQA-sanctioned events in collaboration with host organizations and local organizers.
    • Create and maintain event standards, timelines, and operational guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across IQA events.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for event hosts and organizing committees.
    • Support bid processes and selection of host sites for major IQA competitions.
    • Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing teams to promote IQA events and maximize visibility and participation.
    • Ensure events reflect IQA values of inclusivity, diversity, safety, and fair play.
    • Track event outcomes and provide reports and recommendations to improve future events.
