Description
The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the all-volunteer part of the Coast Guard. The Auxiliary supports the Coast Guard is missions relating to recreational boating safety. The Coast Guard Auxiliary Band performs for many occasions around Long Island, including ceremonies, change of commands, parades, veteran services and public concerts. The Band rehearses in Ft. Salonga and are always looking for musicians (woodwind, brass, percussion). In addition there are administration support functions that are also needed such as public affairs, publications/writing stories, secretarial duties, financial duties, information systems, website maintenance, etc. needed to run an organization.
