At CAPUP, we LOVE volunteers! Volunteers mostly serve in our food pantry and as drivers transporting seniors to Friendship Cafes. This reduces barriers to accessing services and ensures everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

    • We are seeking an organized and reliable volunteer to provide transportation to our seniors in Ashland. Our seniors attend a SPAN Friendship Cafe multiple times a week where they receive socialization, lunch, light case management, and a variety of activities.
    • The morning shift drivers will arrive at our site in Richmond, then head to Ashland to pick seniors up from their home and take them to the Friendship Cafe site. The drivers will then bring the vehicle back to Richmond.
    • Afternoon shift drivers will arrive at our site in Richmond, head to Ashland to pick seniors up from the Friendship Cafe site and bring them back to their home. Drivers will then return vehicle to CAPUP's site in Richmond.
    • This is an essential role that helps ensure our seniors are able to access community and resources, regardless of their transportation needs.
