Description
Disaster Health Services volunteers:
- Address the unmet disaster-related health needs of impacted individuals, families, and communities and assist disaster responders with health needs.
- Provide hands on care, education, client assistance with replacement of needed medical resources such as medications or equipment.
- Support the community in building resilience.
If you hold your RN, LPN/LVN, MD/DO, PA, EMT, Paramedic, APRN or NP you’re eligible for this position. Licenses must be current and unencumbered. Only RNs and LPN/LVNs have full scope of practice. MD/Dos and NP/APRNs do not have prescriptive authority when acting as a Red Cross volunteer.
