We will offer training for volunteers for this program. Volunteers ages 18+ are required to complete a Live Scan background check before they volunteer.

Description

GiGiFIT Kids for ages 10 - 12 is a signature program offered at GiGi's Playhouse, a Down syndrome acheivement center. This class meets once a week on Thursdays evenings. Time is TBD and will be shared soon. The Program begins on January 16, 2025. Volunteers are asked to commit to 90 minutes once a week for consistancy for our participants.

We will offer training associated with this volunteer opportuntiy.

Ideal volunteers are people who have an interest or background in: sports teams, physical therapy/ nursing/ pharmacy/ counseling/ special education teaching students, pediatric physical therapists, adaptive PE, high school groups, sports medicine, people who love mentoring kids, etc.
