About Guardian of Childhood International
Guardian of Childhood International (GOC) is a youth-led international nonprofit organisation committed to child rights, child protection, education, youth leadership, civic literacy, global citizenship, and humanitarian service.
We aim to encourage young people to become informed, responsible, and compassionate global citizens through educational initiatives, international dialogue, collaborative projects, and youth participation.
About the Role
We are seeking a confident, articulate, and responsible volunteer to serve as the public-facing voice of Guardian of Childhood International. The selected volunteer will help communicate the organisation’s activities, initiatives, announcements, and developments through short videos and regular social media updates.
This is an opportunity for someone interested in public speaking, digital communications, media, and international youth engagement to contribute to a growing youth-led organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Video presentations: Record short, clear, and professional videos introducing GOC initiatives, sharing organisational updates, and explaining upcoming activities.
- Weekly updates: Prepare and publish at least one approved social media post per week.
- Public communication: Help present the organisation’s mission, programmes, opportunities, and achievements to a wider audience.
- Script preparation: Work with the leadership team to prepare concise scripts, announcements, and talking points.
- Social media collaboration: Coordinate with the Media Department to ensure consistent messaging and timely publication.
- Event communication: Occasionally record announcements or short video messages about upcoming webinars, campaigns, and international youth initiatives.
- Brand and values: Represent GOC professionally, maintaining accuracy, neutrality, respect, and alignment with the organisation’s mission.
Who Can Apply?
We welcome applicants who:
- Have strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Are comfortable speaking on camera or willing to develop their confidence.
- Can communicate clearly in English.
- Have an interest in child rights, youth leadership, education, or international nonprofit work.
- Are reliable, creative, and able to meet weekly deadlines.
- Can commit approximately 3–5 hours per week.
- Have access to a smartphone or camera and a reasonably quiet recording environment.
Previous experience in public speaking, hosting, journalism, content creation, or media is an advantage, but it is not compulsory.
What You Will Gain
- Practical experience in public communication and youth media.
- Opportunities to represent a youth-led international organisation.
- Experience creating video content and communicating institutional initiatives.
- Collaboration with an international youth network.
- An official volunteer appointment and certificate of service, subject to the organisation’s policies and satisfactory completion of the role.
Important Expectations
The selected volunteer must communicate responsibly and accurately. Official announcements, scripts, and public statements must be coordinated with the designated leadership team. The spokesperson may not independently announce organisational decisions, make commitments on behalf of GOC, or speak for the organisation on unapproved matters.
Guardian of Childhood International maintains a non-religious, non-political, and non-regional approach to its organisational work.
