Kitty Connection Needs a Microchip Volunteer! 🐾

Looking for a meaningful way to help rescue animals — even if fostering isn’t for you?

Kitty Connection is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented volunteer to help us manage our cats’ microchip registrations. This important behind-the-scenes role helps make sure that if one of our adopted cats ever becomes lost, their microchip information can help lead them safely back home.

We currently have a backlog of microchips that need to be reviewed, updated, and registered, and we’re looking for someone who can help us get caught up and, ideally, take ownership of this process moving forward.

What You’ll Help With

• Registering microchips for Kitty Connection cats
• Updating owner/adopter information as needed
• Reviewing records to make sure microchip information is accurate and complete
• Helping us work through our current backlog
• Keeping registrations up to date moving forward
• Flagging missing or incomplete information for follow-up

Who Would Be Great for This Role?

Someone who is:

• Organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working on a computer and entering information accurately
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Good at keeping track of details and following a process
• Passionate about helping animals, even from behind the scenes

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference from home. You don’t need to foster cats or have previous rescue experience — we can show you our process and help you get started.

Microchips may be tiny, but keeping them properly registered can have a huge impact. When a cat goes missing, accurate information can help turn a frightening situation into a happy reunion.
