    About WOCOTM

Women of Color On The Move (WOCOTM) is a global nonprofit committed to empowering women, girls, families, and communities through education, advocacy, leadership development, and justice‑centered initiatives. Our programs uplift underserved voices, support survivors, and build pathways to dignity, opportunity, and equity.

As our mission expands, WOCOTM seeks an innovative, strategic leader to guide and strengthen our fundraising efforts using both traditional approaches and cutting‑edge AI tools.

    Position Overview

The Volunteer Director of Fundraising (AI‑Enabled) will lead WOCOTM’s fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and development campaigns. This leader will use AI‑assisted tools to streamline donor research, craft proposals, improve communication workflows, and support high‑impact fundraising initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about social justice and experienced in nonprofit fundraising, development, or philanthropy—with an interest in integrating AI to enhance efficiency and results.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement WOCOTM’s annual fundraising plan using both traditional and AI‑enhanced strategies.
    • Use AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power Automate, donor‑research platforms) to:
      • Draft grant proposals, donor messaging, and stewardship communications.
      • Automate donor outreach, follow‑ups, and personalized thank‑you notes.
      • Research funding opportunities, foundations, and corporate partnerships.
      • Analyze fundraising trends and generate performance reports.
    • Lead campaigns for grants, major gifts, individual giving, sponsorships, and events.
    • Build and manage relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
    • Oversee donor data and maintain accurate CRM records (AI‑assisted as appropriate).
    • Collaborate with the Communications and Programs teams to create compelling stories and case statements.
    • Ensure all fundraising practices align with nonprofit ethics, transparency standards, and WOCOTM’s mission.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, philanthropy, donor relations, or grant writing.
    • Ability to integrate AI tools into daily workflows (no coding required).
    • Strong communication, writing, and relationship‑building skills.
    • Knowledge of donor research platforms, fundraising CRMs, or grant databases preferred.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
    • Passion for WOCOTM’s mission and commitment to equity, empowerment, and community impact.

    What You Gain

    • Leadership experience overseeing fundraising at a global nonprofit.
    • Hands‑on practice applying AI to philanthropy and donor development.
    • High‑impact portfolio of grants, campaigns, and strategic initiatives.
    • Recognition for service and letters of recommendation.
    • The opportunity to directly support life‑changing programs for women and communities worldwide.
