    Description

    Walk MS: Nebraska Volunteer Opportunity

    Walk MS: Nebraska provides volunteer opportunities for differing abilities and wants.

    Site Set Up & Tear down:

    • Set up signage, tables, banners, and route markers.
    • Unload supplies and distribute equipment to the correct areas.
    • Assist with post‑event cleanup and packing.
    • Help transport materials back to vehicles or storage.

    During Event:

    • Help set up tents, tables, and signage.
    • Assist with activities such as photo booths or team celebrations.
    • Support sponsor or partner activation stations.
    • Keep the area clean, welcoming, and organized.
    • Greet walkers as they arrive.
    • Assist participants in locating their registration information.
    • Distribute bibs, wristbands, or T‑shirts.
    • Answer general event questions.
    • Direct participants to starting areas or team meeting spots.

    Volunteers should come prepared to:

    • Be punctual, friendly, and team‑oriented.
    • Assist participants of all abilities in a respectful, compassionate manner.
    • Follow instructions from event staff, especially regarding safety.
    • Bring positive energy—Walk MS is a celebratory and meaningful day for many.
    • Stand or walk for extended periods (depending on the role).
    • Dress appropriately for outdoor weather and comfortable movement.
