Play Like a Girl AI Leadership Lab
Volunteer Opportunity: AI Impact Lab Mentor
Play Like a Girl is launching the AI Leadership Lab, a free virtual program for rising 8th and 9th grade girls.
Across three sessions, girls work in small mentor-led teams to explore how AI is shaping the world, design an AI-powered solution to a real problem, and present their work at a live showcase. Every girl who completes the program leaves with increased confidence in STEM, real exposure to career pathways in AI and technology, and a connection to women professionals who look like her and believe in what she is capable of.

Play Like a Girl is launching the AI Leadership Lab, a free 3-session virtual intensive for rising 8th and 9th grade girls. We are recruiting women professionals to serve as Team Mentor Co-Leads. As a Co-Lead you support your team's Mentor Lead during every session and between-session meeting. You contribute to team huddles, help girls develop their challenge project, and step in as Team Lead if needed. You bring your professional perspective and your presence. That is what the girls need most. This is a slightly lower time commitment than the Team Lead role and a great entry point if you are new to mentoring with Play Like a Girl. Time commitment: 3 sessions of 90 minutes each, 2 between-session team meetings, and one orientation call. All virtual via Zoom.
Background checks are required, and are expected to be paid by the volunteer (~$17-25)
