    Compeer Volunteer Friend/ Mentor

    Mental Wellness Starts with Friendship.

    https://www.mhainulster.com/compeer-volunteers-needed/

Compeer volunteers provide meaningful friendship and support to adults navigating mental health challenges. By sharing experiences and building connections, volunteers help foster self-confidence, resilience, and personal growth. Join us in creating compassionate community support-one friendship at a time.

Compeer is an internationally recognized program which trains community volunteers to become friends and mentors to adults in mental health recovery. The Compeer program at the Mental Health Assosiation in Ulster needs volunteers to be one-to-one friends/mentors to program participants. Volunteers receive training, ongoing support, and guidance from the Compeer Coordinator.

Are you a caring, compassionate and accepting person? Do you want to really make a difference in someone's life? Become a Compeer Volunteer and give the gift of friendship. Don't miss this amazing opportunity to make a new friend, help someone feel less lonely and isolated, help remove the stigma of mental illness, and do something great for your community!

Volunteers are needed in Kingston and all over Ulster County. One to one mentors especially needed in Kingston.
