    Description

Fundraising Volunteer — Help Support Women Veterans in Huntsville, AL

Invisible Warriors is a grassroots movement dedicated to honoring and uplifting women veterans — women who served with strength and courage, and who too often return home to find their stories untold. We create space for visibility, healing, and empowerment through storytelling, community events, and advocacy.

    The Opportunity

We're looking for a community-driven Fundraising Volunteer to help identify, plan, and execute events in the Huntsville, Alabama area that raise awareness and funds for women veterans. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves bringing people together for a cause that matters.

    Responsibilities

    • Research local fundraising and awareness event opportunities in the Huntsville area
    • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, materials, and volunteer scheduling
    • Engage local businesses and community partners for sponsorships and in-kind donations
    • Promote events through community networks, social media, and personal outreach to build participation

    Qualifications

    • Event planning or fundraising experience preferred (professional or volunteer experience both welcome)
    • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
    • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, mission-focused team
    • Reliable, organized, and able to follow through on commitments
    • Local to the Huntsville, AL area

    Time Commitment

    • 5–8 hours per week, with hours flexing up during active event cycles
    • Hybrid role: most planning can be done remotely, but local presence is required for in-person events
    • Minimum 6-month commitment preferred

    What You'll Gain

    • Meaningful impact on the lives of women veterans in Alabama
    • Hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and event management
    • Connections with a mission-driven team and a growing network of community partners
    • Flexible scheduling that works around your life
    • A role you can be proud to add to your résumé or LinkedIn
