    SABIFF 2026 - Volunteers Needed for Film Festival

    Be Part of the Movement. Experience the Magic Behind the Screen.

    The San Antonio Black International Film Festival (SABIFF) is looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and community-minded volunteers to help bring our 8th Annual Festival to life! If you love movies, culture, meeting inspiring people, and being part of something meaningful, we'd love to have you on our team. This year's festival theme, #HistoryUpRising, celebrates the power of Black stories, voices, and history through independent films from around the world. No film experience is required—just a positive attitude and a willingness to help. A love of movies and culture is definitely a plus!

    Volunteer Opportunities

    We're seeking volunteers to assist before the festival with planning and preparation August and September 2026, as well as during festival weekend (October 2–4, 2026) in roles including:

      • Guest & filmmaker hospitality
      • Registration & ticketing
      • Stage Manager-like duties
      • Event setup & breakdown
      • Awards Gala support
      • Merchandise & information table
      • Videography & social media content
      • Production assistants
      • Community outreach
      • General event support

    Hybrid
    Volunteer must be in or near San Antonio, TX
    Associated Location

    Carver Community Cultural Center, StayBridge Suites, Velocity Texas - 3 locations. Assignments TBD
