Description
Help empower adult learners by keeping our evening math classes running smoothly! If you enjoy tech support, helping others, and enriching the lives of people in your community, we would love to have you. Metro North ABE provides full support for all volunteers, alongside amazing teachers who provide clear direction and materials.
- No degree or advanced math experience needed! Training is provided, and you will work under the direct guidance of a classroom teacher.
- Assist small groups of motivated adult learners as they build their math skills.
- Must be 18 or older to volunteer.
- We strongly encourage people of color, indigenous, immigrants and refugees, LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, and bilingual people to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up Chromebooks for online math learning groups before class starts.
- Assist students with basic technology troubleshooting and navigating math software.
- Proctor non-standardized math tests.
- Pack up and put away Chromebooks at the end of the session.
