Disaster Relief: Be the Neighbor Who Shows Up When It Matters Most (Shoshone Co.)

We are the American Red Cross. Sleeves up. Hearts open. All in.

Bring comfort and care to families facing emergencies. Flexible shifts, meaningful impact. Training provided.

Be There When Help Is Needed Most

Join the American Red Cross as a Disaster Action Team (DAT) Responder and provide immediate, on-the-ground support to individuals and families affected by home fires, floods, and other local emergencies. You’ll be part of a team that delivers compassion, comfort, and critical resources when disaster strikes.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Respond to local disasters, primarily home fires
    • Provide emotional support, emergency supplies, and recovery resources
    • Work alongside other Red Cross volunteers and first responders
    • Represent the Red Cross with professionalism and empathy

    What You’ll Need:

    • Compassion and a calm presence in stressful situations
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Willingness to complete Red Cross training
    • Reliable access to transportation for local responses
    • Physical ability to respond in person during your selected shift—day, night, or weekend

    Why It Matters:

As a DAT Responder, you’ll be a lifeline for people facing some of the hardest moments of their lives. Your presence and support can make all the difference in helping them begin their recovery.
