Description
A Volunteer Mentor builds a consistent, supportive relationship with a young person, providing encouragement, guidance, and a listening ear. Mentors help youth recognize their strengths, stay connected to school, set goals, and think about their future.
Mentors meet regularly with their assigned mentee and must be able to listen well. The goal is to be a dependable, caring adult who helps a young person believe in what is possible.
