    Description

Do you enjoy turning ideas into systems, building processes that help people thrive, and shaping how teams grow?

We’re looking for an Onboarding Department Co-Chair to help lead and strengthen the structure that welcomes, connects, and equips new volunteers across the organization.

As Co-Chair, you’ll guide the Onboarding Department’s strategy and operations to ensure every new volunteer experience is clear, consistent, and engaging. This leadership role blends big-picture planning with practical execution. You’ll design systems, coach team leads, and continuously refine how the department scales as the organization expands.

    What you’ll be involved in:

    • Co-leading and supporting a team of onboarding volunteers (example roles: Orientation Host, Connection Caller, Call Captains)
    • Developing and improving onboarding processes, documentation, and communication systems
    • Mapping volunteer journeys from first contact to active engagement, and identifying points for stronger connection and follow-up
    • Coordinating across departments to ensure alignment and smooth handoffs
    • Tracking progress and feedback to inform future improvements and growth
    • Supporting recruitment, training, and mentorship within the onboarding team

    What you bring:

    • Experience with systems building, process design, or team coordination
    • Strategic thinking and comfort with operational details
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to lead remotely and collaborate across teams
    • A balance of structure and empathy, knowing that behind every system is a person

Time Commitment: Mondays 4:30p-6p, Thursdays 7:30p-8:30p, plus 10 flexible hours throughout the week

If you’re excited about designing how volunteers enter, engage, and thrive within a mission-driven community, this is your chance to shape that foundation.
