    Role Overview

L.I.T.E. is seeking a Volunteer Funding Strategy Lead to design and execute our

early-stage fundraising strategy. This is a high-impact, leadership-level volunteer role

ideal for someone who wants ownership and the opportunity to help build the financial

foundation of a mission-driven organization from the ground up.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research and identify aligned grant opportunities, donors, and sponsors
    • Build and manage a grant pipeline, including deadlines and submission tracking
    • Track grant statuses, reporting requirements, and renewal timelines
    • Develop a case for support and create a boilerplate language library (mission, programs, organizational overview)
    • Create and maintain a simple funding tracker/system
    • Develop a clear roadmap for funding growth

    Ideal Candidate

    • Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development
    • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to work independently
    • Comfortable building systems and processes from the ground up
    • Excellent writing, storytelling, and persuasion abilities
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented

    90-Day Goals

    • Build a grant prospect list with 10–20 aligned foundations
    • Establish a structured grant pipeline
    • Implement a simple, trackable funding system
    • Submit at least one LOI or full grant proposal
    • Create a grant calendar with key deadlines
    • Begin a boilerplate content library for future applications
