    The Donovan’s Venom is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on curating universal accessibility to fine arts and music education for all. We are passionately dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to high-quality music education, performance opportunities, and fine art. We aim to inspire, empower, and uplift communities by fostering a love for music and the arts through our commitment to education, inclusivity, diversity, and social impact, which drives us to expand our reach continually and enrich the lives of those we serve.

    We’re looking for a Head of Strategy to join our growing team!

    Position Overview

    The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) is a senior executive responsible for defining, shaping, and advancing the organization’s long-term strategic direction, growth initiatives, and external positioning.

    This role ensures that The Donovan’s Venom achieves sustainable impact by aligning strategy with mission, market opportunities, partnerships, and data-driven insights. The CSO leads enterprise-level strategic planning, identifies growth opportunities, and ensures the organization is positioned to expand access to fine arts and music education at scale.

    The CSO operates at the intersection of strategy, growth, partnerships, and impact, working closely with the Executive Director and executive leadership team to drive organizational success.

    1. Enterprise Strategy Development & Long-Term Planning
    2. Growth Strategy & Expansion Initiatives
    3. Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
    4. Market Intelligence, Research & Strategic Insights
    5. Impact Measurement & Program Evaluation
    6. Strategic Alignment & Cross-Functional Integration
    7. Executive Leadership & Advisory Role

    Volunteer Commitment Expectations

    • Estimated Commitment: 10–20 hours per week
    • Availability: Flexible (weekdays, evenings, weekends as needed)
    • Participation in executive leadership and strategic planning sessions required

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Public Administration, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
    • 5+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business development, or leadership roles
    • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, market analysis, and organizational growth
    • Strong understanding of nonprofit strategy, partnerships, and impact measurement

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organizations
    • Background in consulting, strategy, or business development
    • Experience leading cross-functional or enterprise-level initiatives
    • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and strategic reporting
