    Description

The YMCA is looking for adult volunteer mentors to be positive role models for children (ages 5-19). With just 4 - 8 hours a month, you can make a difference in the life of a child who is affected by challenges of foster care, the juvenile justice system, or emotional difficulties. Mentors help youth living throughout Montgomery County by offering support, guidance, friendship, encouragement, and learning opportunities.

Volunteer mentors are required to attend informational and training sessions. Once matched with a mentee, mentors are encouraged to attend continuing education workshops and program events. We seek individuals who can offer a one-year commitment with at least two outings per month.
