Idealist Posting — Face Friends Foundation, Incorporated

Organization: Face Friends Foundation, Incorporated Location: Remote (US-based preferred) Commitment: 2 to 3 hours per week, fully flexible and asynchronous Compensation: Unpaid Volunteer Executive Staff Application Deadline: Open until filled

    About Us

Face Friends Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building two things at once: a Gwinnett International Workforce Academy opening March 1, 2027 in Sugar Hill, Georgia, and a sustained volunteer and educational program serving families in Saint Mary, Jamaica.

In Jamaica, we have a long-standing relationship with Joyce Eccleston Basic School and a community that has been waiting for us to show up with resources. We have the programs. We have the relationships. What we need now is someone who can raise the money that makes them real.

    What This Role Is

We are looking for someone who loves raising money for a cause they believe in.

Not a corporate sales professional. Not someone chasing a quota. Someone who has looked a friend, a neighbor, or a stranger in the eye and said: "This matters. Will you help?" And meant it.

You might have raised money for your church, your school, your community center, a GoFundMe for someone who needed it, or a cause you champion on social media. You know how to move people from "that sounds nice" to "here is my contribution." That instinct is what this role is built on.

    What You Will Do

    • Lead fundraising for the foundation's Jamaica Back to School Supplies Distribution, our most immediate community program delivery pending funding.
    • Build and work a personal network of individual donors, diaspora community members, and mission-aligned givers who want to support Jamaica.
    • Collaborate with the International Programs team to communicate program impact to donors: real families, real schools, real outcomes.
    • Post a monthly update to your standing task card in Bitrix24 with outreach activity, donor conversations, and funds raised.
    • Work toward a first-phase fundraising goal supporting the back to school distribution and the March 1, 2027 Serve Jamaica program launch.

    Who You Are

    • You are moved by Jamaica, Caribbean communities, diaspora connection, or international education. This cause is personal to you in some way.
    • You have raised money before, formally or informally, for anything you cared about.
    • You are comfortable asking people to give. Not aggressive. Not scripted. Genuine.
    • You are a self-starter. You do not need to be managed or reminded. You set your own pace and you follow through.
    • You are US-based with a network you can activate.

    What You Gain

    • Verifiable title and role recognition on Face Friends Foundation's official LinkedIn organization page.
    • A personal LinkedIn recommendation from Winston Guy, Executive Director, upon successful fundraising milestones.
    • A signed letter of service and formal commendation from the Executive Director.
    • Complimentary enrollment in the Gwinnett International Workforce Academy digital program library.
    • The satisfaction of knowing your conversations funded real school supplies reaching real children in Saint Mary, Jamaica.

    How to Apply

Send your resume and a short note telling us about a time you raised money or resources for something you believed in. It does not need to be professional. It needs to be real.
