Are you a Veteran looking to support other Veterans? Sutter Care at Home Santa Rosa is seeking Veteran volunteers to help honor and support our Veteran patients.
How to get started!
The first step to becoming a volunteer with Sutter Care at Home is to contact our volunteer department. Express your interest here, and our team will reach out to you. After expressing interest, you will be asked to complete an application then invited to an interview.
No experience is necessary! Sutter Care at Home will provide all applicable training and education related to hospice volunteering.
Hospice Volunteer Requirements:
- Access to a vehicle for transportation to hospice visits
- Valid driver’s license
- Current automobile insurance
- Completion of online volunteer training
- Criminal initial and ongoing background check. We regret that we are unable to accept volunteers with prior felony convictions
- Drug Screen
- Immunity to MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) and Varicella (Chicken Pox)
- Tdap
- Annual Flu vaccination
- Annual Tuberculin skin test or blood test
Sutter Care at Home will provide health screenings and any necessary tests and vaccinations.
