    Description

    Public Relations (PR) Volunteer

    The Center for Movement Challenges (CFMC) is seeking a Public Relations Volunteer to assist with media outreach, storytelling, and public-facing communications. This role focuses on increasing CFMC’s visibility and sharing impactful stories from our community.

    This volunteer opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in public relations, communications, journalism, or nonprofit advocacy, including students and early-career professionals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with drafting press releases, media pitches, and talking points
    • Support storytelling through participant spotlights and impact narratives
    • Help identify media outlets and community calendars for promotion
    • Assist with tracking media mentions and outreach efforts
    • Support PR around events and fundraising campaigns

    Ideal Volunteer

    • Interest in public relations, communications, or journalism
    • Strong writing and storytelling skills
    • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
    • Passion for mission-based organizations and inclusive communities
