    Description

If you're good with a scanner and browser-based applications and have a few hours to spend with us per week, join our collections team and help us digitize materials in the Gilman Town Hall! Materials can include accession records, postcards, photographs, and more.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who loves to pop in their headphones, glance through interesting old materials, and clock some volunteer hours at the same time.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Handling aging paper materials
    • Operating a basic flat scanner
    • Using a laptop, keyboard, mouse, and monitor
    • Managing scanned files within a file hierarchy and naming system
    • Uploading them to a web-based portal

This is a flexible business-hours opportunity: You can choose your own hours any day Monday through Friday and 10am to 5pm. A commitment of 2 to 6 hours a week is ideal.
