Volunteer Data Quality & Salesforce Coordinator

    Organization: Carolina Boxer Rescue

    Location: Remote

Time Commitment: Approximately 3–5 hours per week

    Position Type: Volunteer

    About Carolina Boxer Rescue

Carolina Boxer Rescue (CBR) is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming boxers in need throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia.

    About the Opportunity

Do you love organizing information, spotting inconsistencies, and making sure the details are right? Carolina Boxer Rescue is looking for a Volunteer Data Quality & Salesforce Coordinator to help keep our organizational data accurate, complete, and up to date.

CBR relies on Salesforce to manage information related to our dogs, donors, volunteers, adoption applicants, and fundraising activities. In this role, you'll help ensure information is entered correctly, records are maintained consistently, and data issues are identified and addressed so our team can rely on accurate information for daily operations and reporting.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys behind-the-scenes work and wants to use their organizational and technical skills to support animal rescue.

    Responsibilities

    • Review assigned Salesforce records for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
    • Ensure assigned information is entered into Salesforce accurately and promptly.
    • Identify duplicate records, missing information, and inconsistencies.
    • Correct data issues within established procedures and flag issues requiring additional review.
    • Help maintain consistent data entry practices across assigned records and processes.
    • Review reports to identify missing or inaccurate information.
    • Assist with routine data cleanup and record updates.
    • Document recurring data issues and recommend practical process improvements.
    • Help maintain simple procedures for data entry and record management.
    • Handle donor, adopter, volunteer, and organizational information responsibly and confidentially.

    Qualifications

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and structured information.
    • Able to follow established procedures and work independently.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and reliable follow-through.
    • Respectful of confidential information.
    • Passionate about animal welfare and CBR's mission.

Salesforce, CRM, database management, or nonprofit experience is helpful but not required. A willingness to learn and follow established processes is essential.

    Time Commitment

Approximately 3–5 hours per week, with a flexible schedule and agreed-upon priorities and deadlines.

    Support Provided

CBR will provide guidance, established procedures, and access to the approved tools needed for assigned responsibilities.

This role focuses on data entry, quality control, and routine database maintenance. Salesforce architecture, complex automation, and major system configuration changes are outside the scope of this position.

    What You'll Gain

    • Experience working with Salesforce and nonprofit data management.
    • An opportunity to improve the accuracy and reliability of organizational information.
    • The satisfaction of helping a volunteer-run rescue operate more effectively and save more lives.
