Description
Reporting to the Director of PR & Communications Director, the Communications Project Manager runs traffic across every PR & Communications silo, helping the department's various work streams speak to one another and arrive on time. You'll also help ensure that PR & Communications is properly embedded across FAR's various departments. You'll manage the intake process for communications requests, set and hold deadlines, route work through drafting, review, and approval, and maintain a departmental production calendar. You'll spot bottlenecks before they become problems and keep the PR & Communications Director informed about capacity. You'll coordinate with department leads across FAR who bring work to the team.
What you'll do:
- Manage intake for all communications requests across FAR
- Set and hold deadlines across drafting, review, and approval stages
- Maintain the department's production calendar
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks before they affect delivery
- Report capacity and status updates to the PR & Communications Director
- Coordinate with department leads across FAR bringing work into the pipeline
You might be a good fit if you have:
- Experience with project management, production management, or agency traffic
- Familiarity with project management software
- Persistence in following up without wearing people down
- Organizational discipline and comfort wearing many hats at once
- Clear written communication
- Experience working with volunteer teams (a plus)
