Pulaski, Virginia:šŸ”„ Join the Frontline of Compassion: Become a Disaster Action Team Volunteer! šŸ”„

24/7 Response • Real Impact • Lifesaving Support

When disaster strikes—especially home fires—our Disaster Action Teams (DAT) are the first to show up with comfort, care, and critical resources. You can be the person who helps families on their worst day find hope again.

If you’re someone who stays calm under pressure, cares deeply for your community, and wants a meaningful hands-on role, this opportunity is calling your name.

    ⭐ What DAT Volunteers Do

As a Disaster Action Team Member, you will:

    • Respond any time of day to local emergencies, especially home fires
    • Help families secure essentials like food, shelter, and clothing
    • Provide compassionate support and help assess needs on the scene
    • Participate in training, team meetings, and ongoing skill-building
    • Support critical program tasks such as prepping vehicles, organizing supplies, and completing administrative needs

    šŸ’Ŗ Why This Role Matters

Every year, countless families lose everything in an instant. DAT volunteers are the ones who step forward and say, ā€œYou’re not alone.ā€

Your presence can turn chaos into calm—and give comfort when it's needed most.

    šŸ“š What You’ll Gain

    • Advanced disaster response training
    • Leadership and crisis-response experience
    • A strong, supportive team environment
    • The chance to directly change lives in your community

    šŸ”§ Requirements

    • Complete required DAT training (provided!)
    • Attend regular meetings and continue skill development
    • Participate in projects and response activities as needed
