    Description

    Processing Room Volunteer

Help us prepare clothing donations for the sales floor by hanging and tagging donated items in our Processing Room. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to contribute to a meaningful community mission.

    Volunteer Responsibilities:

    • Neatly and efficiently hang clothing on hangers
    • Organize clothing by size and category
    • Double check condition of clothing
    • Properly tag donated items for sale
    • Follow established procedures and guidelines
    • Complete tasks independently and help wherever needed

    Training Requirement:

All new volunteers are required to complete training with one of our volunteer trainers. Training consists of two 4-hour shifts, during which you will learn how to volunteer in both the Processing Room and Retail areas.

    Shift Times:

    • Monday–Saturday: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
    • Sunday: 11:00 AM–3:00 PM or 2:00 PM–6:00 PM

Shifts are flexible, and volunteers may sign up for a full 4-hour shift or a shorter shift when available.

    Volunteer Commitment:

We are seeking volunteers who can commit on a weekly or biweekly basis and are interested in volunteering throughout the year. After training, volunteers are asked to sign up for shifts at least 3–4 times per month.

    Ideal Volunteers Are:

    • Detail-oriented and organized
    • Able to organize items accurately by size and category
    • Committed to maintaining a clean and orderly workspace
    • Reliable and able to follow instructions and procedures
    • Self-motivated and capable of working without direct supervision
    • Dependable and interested in making a long-term volunteer commitment

If you enjoy staying organized, working behind the scenes, and helping donated items find a new home, we'd love to have you join our team.
