    Description

    Window Washers

Do you like to keep things clean and get up close with cougars, wolves, and other wildlife (through crystal clear windows)? This might be the volunteer position for you! We’re looking for volunteers to clean the outside of our animal habitat windows, so guests see only paw prints, not fingerprints! Window washing volunteers take this important task off the to-do list of our animal keepers.

We are looking for three volunteers who can commit to a weekly shift on either Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday. There is some flexibility on shift start time.

    Tasks Include:

    • Preparing materials (bucket with water, squeegee, hand towel)
    • Washing windows along the park loop (11 large windows)

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift 20 lbs.
    • Ability to walk up to 1 mile on a paved path with some inclines
    • Ability to reach windows up to 8 feet high (with a long handled squeegee)
    • Visual acuity is required for determining accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities
    • Volunteers are subject to environmental conditions, but do not work in rain or below 40°F
